Career Summary

Atlanta United signed goalkeeper Quentin Westberg to a one-year contract on Dec. 23, 2022. He made six MLS starts in 2023, registering one clean sheet against Colorado on May 17. Westberg re-signed with Atlanta on a one-year contract through the 2024 season on Dec. 18, 2023.

Westberg was born in France and came through the youth academy with ES Troyes AC before making his professional debut on Oct. 21, 2006 as a substitute vs. Valenciennes. Over four seasons, he made more than 50 appearances for Troyes. In the summer of 2012, Westberg joined Luzenac AP of the Championnat National where he received his first extended period of playing time. In two seasons, the goalkeeper made 71 appearances and recorded 27 clean sheets in league play, earning him a move to Ligue 2 side Tours FC.

After two seasons with Tours FC, the goalkeeper joined AJ Auxerre on a free transfer. He made 22 appearances across all competitions for Auxerre before coming to MLS ahead of the 2019 regular season when he signed with Toronto FC. Westberg immediately established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for Toronto and started 28 matches in the regular season. He also made all four starts in the MLS Cup Playoffs as Toronto FC won the Eastern Conference championship before falling to Seattle in MLS Cup. In four seasons with Toronto, Westberg played in 68 matches and recorded 10 clean sheets. His save percentage was 60.7% or higher in each of his four seasons with Toronto. 

International: Westberg chose to represent the United States internationally and has played at the U-17, U-20 and U-23 levels.
