TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Extension
Goalkeeper Quentin Westberg has signed a new contract with Toronto FC, the club announced Friday. Terms, per the club's policy, were not disclosed.
“Q had a great first season with us and was integral in helping us win the Eastern Conference and advance to MLS Cup,” Toronto FC general manager Ali Curtis said in a statement. “We’re very excited that we were able to reach agreement on a new contract.”
The 33-year-old originally joined the Reds last February from French club AJ Auxerre. Westberg made 32 starts across the regular season and playoffs and helped guide Toronto FC to the MLS Cup final.
