Former Vancouver Whitecaps talent Alphonso Davies has picked up an individual honor to complete his first year at FC Bayern Munich.
On Friday, the club revealed Davies had been voted by supporters as player of the month for December, taking 41% of the vote and beating out globally known stars like Philippe Coutinho (32%) and Robert Lewandowski (16%).
Since the end of October, the Canadian has played in all 13 of Bayern's competitive matches, not missing a single minute of game action while transitioning into a left back role for the defending Bundesliga champions.
He has four assists over that stretch.
Currently third in the Bundesliga and into the last 16 of the Champions League, Bayern will return from winter break when they play visit Hertha Berlin on Jan. 19.
