Orlando City SC announced on Tuesday the list of current players they'll retain as the club makes the transition from USL PRO to MLS expansion side in 2015.
OCSC now have seven players under contract for next season and continue to negotiate with three more members of their USL PRO squad, while the rest have been released.
“As we look ahead to 2015, we intend to enter MLS with the same competitive spirit we developed over the past four years at Orlando City,” head coach Adrian Heath said in a statement, “but it is not an easy task. The roster decisions have been incredibly difficult for us to make, especially as many of the players we are releasing today have been with the club for several years.
“I want to thank each of them for all they have contributed to our success over the past four years, and wish them good luck in their future careers. They will always be part of our family, and welcomed by the club and our fans.”
The Lions will be led by Brazilian star Kaká, who was unveiled as the club's first Designated Player earlier this year before heading to Sao Paulo FC on loan. El Salvador international Darwin Cerén scored two goals and three assists in USL PRO this season and will join Kaká in the midfield.

USL PRO Golden Boot winner (20 goals, nine assists) and Trinidad & Tobago international Kevin Molino is also on board for 2015, along with two recent arrivals from Portuguese powerhouse Benfica, Angolan midfielder Estrela and defender Rafael Ramos.
In defense, Orlando have already secured the young duo of Tommy Redding, the club’s first Homegrown signing, and Tyler Turner.
OCSC are still in contract negotiations with 2014 USL PRO players Luke Boden, Harrison Heath and Adama Mbengue.
