Perhaps 2019 will be the year Pedro Santos becomes a more regular contributor on the scoresheet for Columbus Crew SC.
Santos delivered a gorgeous ball to set up Gyasi Zardes' opener in Saturday's matinee at the New England Revolution.
The assist was Santos' first in nine matches in all competitions for the Crew dating back to last season, including three postseason encounters.
Santos had seven assists in the 2018 MLS season for Columbus, not an insignificant number but perhaps short of expectations after he was signed to a Designated Player contract midway through the 2017 campaign.
