One of Major League Soccer's newest signings got a callup to join the Argentina Under-23 squad for their next camp, as Inter Miami acquisition Julian Carranza was named to the group that will gather for training and friendly matches next month in preparation for the upcoming qualifying process for next year's Olympic Games in Tokyo.
One of the first signings in Inter's history, Carranza is joined on the Albiceleste roster by Atlanta United starlet Ezequiel Barco.
After a rough debut campaign in MLS last year, Barco has been a consistent performer this season, with four goals and an assist in 800 league minutes thus far for the Five Stripes. Carranza, meanwhile, was loaned back to his previous club Banfield for the remainder of 2019 and will join Miami early next year in advance of their MLS expansion debut.
Argentina will take part in CONMEBOL Olympic qualifying in Colombia in January.
