Four more college seniors have signed MLS contracts ahead of Thursday’s MLS SuperDraft.
Two MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalists are among the latest signees in defender Jonathan Campbell of UNC-Chapel Hill and defender Kyle Fisher of Clemson (pictured above).
Campbell finished 2015 with NSCAA First Team All-American and First Team All-ACC honors. Fisher finished his college career with NSCAA First Team All-American and First Team All-South accolades in addition to being named ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
Rounding out the new batch of signed players are University of Virginia midfielder Todd Wharton, who was named to the 2015 All-ACC Second Team, and University of Kentucky goalkeeper Callum Irving, who picked up a NSCAA First Team All American nod last year.
The first two rounds of the 2016 MLS SuperDraft will take place Thursday at the NSCAA convention in Baltimore. It will be livestreamed on MLSSoccer.com.
