St. Louis CITY SC have qualified for the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs, clinching their spot via a record-setting 0-0 draw against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Wednesday night.
With five regular-season matches left, St. Louis are second in the Western Conference (51 points; 14W-6L-9D), courtesy of a record 21-game unbeaten streak across all competitions.
St. Louis last made the postseason during their inaugural 2023 campaign. They topped the West before losing in Round One vs. rivals Sporting Kansas City.
Star players
In their first year under head coach Yoann Damet, St. Louis have reached historic heights amid roster changes this summer.
After bidding farewell to fan favorites Marcel Hartel and Eduard Löwen, the club acquired Designated Player forwards Carlo Holse and Rafael Navarro. Holse arrived from Turkey's Süper Lig, while Navarro joined from the Colorado Rapids in a club-record trade ($12+ million).Â
The newcomers add firepower alongside striker Simon Becher, who is enjoying a career-best season with 9g/5a.
Roman Bürki, a former Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper and Switzerland international, remains a club legend in St. Louis. German veteran Timo Baumgartl anchors their defense.
