A ten-year MLS veteran, Franklin has been a starter at right back since he entered the league in 2008. Known more for his defending ability, Franklin is able to up the right flank to provide some attacking punch when asked. He was part of the Galaxy squad that won back-to-back MLS Cups in 2011 and 2012. He is coming off a season in which he played the second-fewest amount of games in his career and is likely to serve as a backup to Jake Nerwinski in 2018.
INTERNATIONAL: Franklin has been called up to three January camps (2008-09, 2011) but made his only appearance with the US national team on January 22, 2011.
COLLEGE: Spent four years at Cal State-Northridge, where he started over 50 games.
