Sean Davis joined Nashville SC in 2022 as a free agent acquisition after spending the first seven years of his MLS career with the New York Red Bulls. Davis was the only Nashville SC player to appear in all 34 regular season matches in 2022 and led the outfield players in minutes played with 2,843. Davis has 217 MLS appearances between regular season and Audi MLS Cup Playoff competition. He scored his first Nashville goal on July 3 vs. Portland Timbers. Prior to his time in Nashville, Davis led the Red Bulls to the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs in seven consecutive seasons and two Supporters’ Shields, first during his rookie season in N/A 2015 and second in 2018 when he registered a career-high eight assists. In 2021, Davis set career-highs in games played (34), game-winning assists (4), total passes (1,519), key passes (42) and accurate long balls (84).
