Real Salt Lake midfielder Pablo Ruiz out for 2024 season
Real Salt Lake midfielder Pablo Ruiz suffered a season-ending knee injury (left ACL tear) earlier this week in practice, the club has confirmed.
Acquired: Transferred from San Luis on February 2, 2018.
Professional Career
2021 Real Salt Lake: Featured in 27 matches while making 24 starts in 2,066 minutes played during the regular season. Ruiz registered four assists and a nearly 85% passing accuracy in 2021.
2020 Real Salt Lake: Ruiz completed an impressive 2020 season with 15 starts in 18 appearances. His first goal for Real Salt Lake was a match-tying screamer in the 85th minute of a 2-2 draw on September 2 against Seattle Sounders. In addition, Ruiz recorded an assist.
2019 Real Salt Lake: Ruiz started in three of his six appearances for the Monarchs, finishing the season with an 86 percent pass success rate in 286 minutes played. He played the majority of the 2019 season on loan with the Monarchs and in Austria’s third division with FC Pinzgau Saalfelden.2018 Real Salt Lake: Ruiz played in 12 matches in 2018 where he made five starts, playing 530 minutes.

2015-2016: Ruiz was born in Argentina and featured for the Argentina U-17 National Team for the U-17 South American Championship and the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2015, but is now set to represent Chile at the senior international level.
