Malik Pinto

FC Cincinnati signed former FCC Academy product Malik Pinto to his first professional contract on January 6, 2023. Pinto’s deal runs through 2024 with options for 2025 and 2026. Pinto joined the FC Cincinnati Academy in 2020 after enrolling at Princeton University. During the canceled 2020-21 NCAA season, Pinto trained with FC Cincinnati and played with the FCC Academy U-19 teams.

2023 (FC Cincinnati): Appeared in 22 games, totaling two starts on 381 minutes … made his first career appearance in a winning start (1-0) against Nashville on March 25 … With FC Cincinnati 2, appeared and started in eight games, where he scored three goals … made his first start for FCC2 on June 6 against Philadelphia … scored his first goal in a 3-1 victory against Miami on July 16. 

COLLEGE (Princeton): In 2022, played and started all 16 matches for the Tigers … registered four assists in 1,234 minutes … tallied two assists against Virginia Tech (10/18) in a 5-0 win … logged season high six shots against Yale … All-Ivy Honorable Mention … appeared in all 18 matches in 2021, starting 14 … tallied six points (2G, 2A) … scored both goals against Dartmouth including an overtime match winner … earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week, Ivy League Player of the Week honors … named to Second-Team All-Ivy.
