2022 (Seattle): Rowe started 14 of 28 appearances for the Rave Green, recording one goal and three assists in the regular season, including two assists against Vancouver (June 14). His scored his lone goal of the season in a 3-3 draw against the LA Galaxy (August 20). Rowe also appeared in all eight matches for Seattle in its title-winning Concacaf Champions League tournament run, as well as playing all 120 minutes for Seattle during its 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match against the San Jose Earthquakes (May 11).
2021 (Seattle): After signing with Seattle during the offseason, Rowe was the only Sounders FC player in 2021 to appear in all 34 regular season matches (24 starts), scoring one goal and adding three assists. His lone goal came in a game-winning strike against Houston (July 7) on an Alex Roldan assist. All of Rowe’s assists came in a 4-1 win over Vancouver (October 9), tying the club record for assists in a single match. Rowe also started every game during the club’s 2021 League’s Cup run.
2020 (New England): Signed back with New England as a free agent on December 4, 2019 and made 16 appearances, including 10 starts in 2020. He made one additional appearance in the MLS is Back Tournament Round of 16 match on vs. Philadelphia (July 25).
2019 (Sporting Kansas City / Real Salt Lake): Acquired by Sporting Kansas City from the Colorado after the Rapids traded for him from New England on December 18, 2018. He made 14 appearances with SKC before being traded to Real Salt Lake on August 7. Rowe appeared in five games for RSL (including postseason). His totals for the 2019 regular season included 18 games played, including nine starts, with two assists. He also appeared in one Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup game for SKC.
2018 (New England): Rowe made 27 appearances with 18 starts, tallying one goal and two assists in his seventh professional season. He recorded two assists in a 4-0 win over Montreal (April 6), making him the fourth Revs player to record 40 career helpers.
2017 (New England): Rowe started 21 of 23 appearances, scoring one goal and recording seven assists, one shy of his career high. Missed eight contests with a right knee sprain suffered on August.26. He logged 1,897 minutes, splitting time between midfield, left back and right back. He also made his debut with the U.S. Men's National Team during the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup, recording one goal and one assist. He earned his fourth consecutive club Humanitarian of the Year award.
2016 (New England): Voted Most Valuable Player by fans and earning his third consecutive Humanitarian of the Year award, Rowe started a career-best 32 of his 33 appearances in 2016. He scored five goals and finished second on team with seven assists, one shy of his career high, logging minutes at every position aside from goalkeeper and center back. Rowe was named to his third career MLS Player of the Week for two-goal, one-assist performance at Montreal (September 17). He also started three Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches.
2015 (New England): Rowe started 21 of his 33 appearances in 2015, finishing second one the team with both seven goals and six assists. His seven goals matched a career high set in 2013. He registered the second multi-goal game of MLS career in the team’s first win of the season against San Jose (March 28), earning MLS Player of the Week honors. He became the 22nd New England player to appear in 100 games against Orlando (May 7), and the seventh Revs player to tally 20 goals and 20 assists in a 3-1 win at Toronto (September 13). For the second consecutive season, Rowe was named the club’s Humanitarian of the Year.
2014 (New England): In his third pro season, Rowe started 21 of 27 appearances, ranking second on the team with both five goals and five assists. After missing seven games early in the season with a hamstring injury, he started 18 of the team’s final 19 matches as New England finished second in the Eastern Conference before falling 2-1 to the LA Galaxy in the 2014 MLS Cup Final (December 7), with Rowe playing all 120 minutes in the championship match. The Revs went 4-0-1 in games when he scored a goal. He recorded an assist in three straight wins from August 23-September 3. Rowe appeared in all five of New England’s postseason matches, starting four and recording one assist. He was named the Revs’ 2014 Humanitarian of the Year.
2013 (New England): Rowe broke out in his second MLS season in 2013, establishing career highs with seven goals and a team-leading eight assists across 33 matches (26 starts). He also added a team-best four goals plus one assist in three Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches, including a brace in a 4-2 Fourth Round win over the New York Red Bulls (June 12). He registered his first career multi-assist game, in addition to a goal, in a 5-0 win over the LA Galaxy (June 2). He was named MLS Player of the Week after recording two goals and an assist in a 5-1 win over Philadelphia (August 25), his first career brace. Rowe scored in his postseason debut in the first leg of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, finding the game-winner in a 2-1 win over Sporting Kansas City (November 2), then recorded an assist in the second leg (November 6). Across all competitions, he totaled 12 goals and added 10 assists in 38 appearances in 2013.
2012 (New England): Rowe was drafted third overall in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft by New England after a two-year collegiate career at UCLA. He appeared in 30 regular season games, starting 21, scoring three goals and tying for the team lead with five assists, which were also tied for the most among MLS rookies. He made his MLS debut in the season opener, logging 90 minutes in a 1-0 loss at San Jose (March 10), before scoring his first professional goal in a 3-1 win at the LA Galaxy (March 31). He recorded a goal and assist in 26 minutes as a substitute in a 2-0 win over Chicago (June 2), the assist being the first of his career. Rowe also scored in the Revs’ Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Third Round match against Penn FC (May 30).
Rowe has four career appearances for the U.S. Men's National Team. He received his fist senior team callup ahead of the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup, starting in his international debut, in a 2-1 friendly against Ghana on July 1, 2017. Rowe recorded an assist in a 1-1 draw with Panama in a Gold Cup Group Stage on July 8, 2017, then scored first international goal with clever right-footed finish against Nicaragua in the Group Stage finale on July 15, 2017. He also played in friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina on January 29, 2018. A former U.S. youth international with experience on the U.S. U-18, U-20 and U-23 teams, he participated at the 2011 CONCACAF U-20 Championship in Guatemala, tallying three goals and one assist in two Group Play matches, including both goals in a 2-0 win over Panama.
Rowe spent two years at UCLA and tallied 13 goals and 20 assists in his career, earning a pair of all-conference selections. He was selected as the 2011 Pac-10 Conference Player of the Year as a sophomore after he scoring seven goals with 10 assists, the latter of which ranked eighth in the nation. He helped UCLA reach the NCAA College Cup in 2011, scoring in the semifinal match against North Carolina. As a freshman, Rowe scored six goals and a conference-leading 10 assists and was named Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and a National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-American. He helped the Bruins reach the quarterfinals of the 2010 NCAA Tournament by recording one goal and two assists in three tournament games.
A fan favorite for his work off the pitch, Rowe earned four consecutive club Humanitarian of the Year awards in New England (2014-2017). He’s been heavily involved in several philanthropic efforts, most notably the Jessie Rees Foundation and Team NEGU (Never, Ever Give Up). Rowe was named the 2016 All-Star of the Year by the Jessie Rees Foundation. Seattle native, Rowe attended Federal Way High School and was named a Parade and ESPN/Rise All-American, in addition to the 2010 Class 4A soccer Player of the Year by multiple publications. As a freshman, he earned first-team, all-league and all-city honors, in addition to second-team all-state recognition. Rowe played youth club soccer with Crossfire Premier and was named to the U-16 West Conference Starting XI in 2007 and 2008. He was named the No. 5 player on Top Drawer Soccer’s recruit list after his senior year at Federal Way. He has an older sister, Bree, who was a defender at the University of Oregon from 2007-2010, while his younger sister, Baely, was an elite gymnast and coaches gymnastics at the University of Washington.
