Signed on January 13, 2020 using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM). The Club initially traded $100,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) to Orlando City SC in exchange for Cifuentes’ rights.  

PROFESSIONAL 

2020 (Los Angeles Football Club): 

• Saw action in 19 regular season games (13 starts). 

• Scored his lone goal of the season during 5-1 win vs. San Jose on 9/2. Registered three assists during the season. 

• Made MLS and LAFC debut during 1-0 win vs. Inter Miami CF on 3/1, playing final 14 minutes. 

• Started the final three games of the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League, logging 216 minutes. 

2018-19 (CD América de Quito, Ecuadorian Serie A):

• Grew up in Esmeraldas, Ecuador – a coastal city in northwestern Ecuador. 

• At age 11 joined his older brother, 

a goalkeeper, at Escuela de Futbol Semillero in Santo Domingo, Ecuador. 

• After a strong showing at a youth tournament in Salinas, Ecuador began his official youth club career at Independiente del Valle in 2016.
