2026 (Philadelphia): In 2026, Vassilev scored his first goal of the season against New York City FC on 3/1. Scored his second goal of the season against Red Bull New York on 7/22. Registered a Leagues Cup assist against Liga MX side Club Necaxa on 8/9. Scored against Inter Miami CF on 8/19. Registered two assists against Red Bull New York on 8/29. Registered a brace of assists against San Diego FC on 9/13. Scored a goal and two assists against Orlando on 9/26. Vassilev has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday twice in 2026. 

2025 (Philadelphia): Vassilev was acquired by the Union on February 21st from St. Louis CITY SC. Appeared in 31 matches with 21 starts and played a career-high 1,973 minutes. Made his Union debut on 3/1 vs CIN and scored his first Union goal at CF Montreal (5/3). After scoring a brace against D.C. United on September 29, Vassilev earned MLS’ Team of the Matchday honors. He also scored his first-ever Audi MLS Cup Playoff goal in the First Round against Chicago Fire FC. Vassilev totaled a career-high five goals and tied his career best with four assists in his debut season with Philadelphia.
