Real Salt Lake's Erik Holt suspended for violent conduct
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has issued two decisions following Week 18 of the 2022 season.

2021 Real Salt Lake: Featured in the most games in his career to date in 2021, playing in 18 matches, 14 of which were starts. Scored the game-winning goal on June 18 against Vancouver Whitecaps FC to mark his first goal in MLS. In total, Holt played 1,352 minutes.
2020 Real Salt Lake: Holt appeared in seven matches for RSL in 2020, including four appearances in the starting eleven for a total of 383 minutes.
2019 Real Salt Lake: Holt split meaningful time with both RSL and Real Monarchs in 2019. He appeared and started in 21 games at centerback for the USL Championship side, totaling 1,875 minutes. Throughout the season, Holt recorded one assist and four goals for the Monarchs. Three of his four goals came in the USL Championship playoffs to lift the team on their title-winning run, including a 120th minute game winner against El Paso and the equalizer in the final versus Louisville City. For RSL, Holt started in all five of his appearances and recorded one assist.2015-2018 RSL Academy: Holt competed for the RSL Academy (AZ) where he helped RSL in earning the nation’s best record in 2015. Considered one of the nation’s top recruits, he spent four years at the University of California Los Angeles where he appeared in 71 matches, 61 of which were starts. An imposing centerback, Holt scored a single goal in his time with the Bruins and assisted on five occasions. The San Diego, California native was named to the All-PAC-12 First Team his junior (‘17) and seniors (‘18) seasons after leading the Bruins to the NCAA tournament in three out of his four years spent in Westwood.
