Professional Career

2020 Real Salt Lake: Putna started all 15 of his appearances for Real Salt Lake in 2020. The Illinois native recorded four clean sheets and 38 saves in 1,350 minutes with a record of 4-7-4.

2019 Real Salt Lake: Putna split time with both RSL and Real Monarchs in his third season with the club. With the Monarchs, Putna started 13 games and finished the season with four clean sheets. He recorded 33 saves on 53 shots faced in 1,170 minutes. Putna started in all five of his appearances with RSL and recorded 12 saves.

2018 Real Salt Lake: On August 15, Putna made his Major league Soccer debut, coming on at halftime for an injured Nick Rimando. Putna played his first full match for RSL on August 18 at Houston and helped the club to a dramatic 2-1 victory over the Dynamo. Putna finished the year with six saves.

2017 Real Monarchs: Drafted 48th overall by Real Salt Lake in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft, Putna spent his rookie season with the Monarchs. The goalkeeper played in four matches to register two clean sheets and saved two penalty kicks. 

Collegiate: Served as the captain of the team his junior and senior year, rounded out his stellar career during his senior season at UIC with placement in the program's record book as he ranks second in wins (41) and shutouts (30), third in goals-against-average (1.05) and fifth in saves (214).
