2021: Tinnerholm began the season as the Club's first choice right fullback, and maintained his usual high level of performance. That allowed him to produce five assists in 23 regular season games for the Club, but his season was unfortunately cut short due to an Achilles injury he suffered against Nashville SC in October.
2020:Â The Swedish international enjoyed another strong campaign with the club, during which he made 23 regular-season appearances and recorded four goals and four assists.
2019: Tinnerholm enjoyed another successful season in 2019, starting 31 regular season games and scoring once. His success in 2019 led to him signing a multi-year extension to remain with the club.Â
2018: Anton Tinnerholm made a booming impact as a new defender for NYCFC in 2018. The Swede provided offense and defense, scoring 4 goals and registering 6 assists from his regular right-back position. Tinnerholm was key to NYCFC’s regular season success, earning Defender Of The Year honors on his way to a first MLS Cup Playoffs appearance in his first league season.
2017: Anton is the reigning 2017 Allsvenskan Defender of the Year after he played a key role in helping Malmo to clinch back-to-back titles in October.
2014 - 2017: Tinnerholm signed for reigning Swedish champions Malmö FF in 2014. Anton played regularly for the club and helped Malmo to the group stages of the 2015/16 UEFA Champions League where he faced off against Real Madrid, PSG and Shakhtar Donetsk.
2008 - 2014: Anton moved to Åtvidaberg in 2008 to play professionally for Åtvidabergs FF, one of the larger clubs in the country. He featured in more than 100 games and helped his team win the Superettan league in 2011.
Youth: Tinnerholm represented Brokinds IF and IK Ostria Lambohov at the youth level.Â
2015 - Present: Tinnerholm is a Sweden international - he had earned seven caps at the time he signed for NYCFC.
