San Jose Earthquakes striker Chris Wondolowski is closing in on Landon Donovan's record of 145 MLS regular-season goals.
On Wednesday night the legendary Quake added to his tally, scoring his 142nd MLS goal against FC Dallas as his goal helped San Jose win 4-3 at home against the West leaders. He managed to play a give-and-go with Vako and put the game-winner past Jimmy Maurer. It was his 40th game-winner, putting him one behind Donovan's 41.
Wondolowski will continue his chase on Saturday when the Quakes travel to face Vancouver Whitecaps FC (10 pm ET | TSN — Full TV & streaming info).
