Los Angeles Football Club midfielder Andre Horta scored what proved to be the winning goal to help lift Portugal to a 2-0 win over Wales in a UEFA U-21 Championship Group Stage match at Bangor University Stadium in Wales Tuesday afternoon.
Horta opened the scoring for Portugal, which played the final 31 minutes with 10 men after Yuri Ribeiro was sent off for a second bookable in the 59th minute.
Off a short corner in the 35th minute, the ball was worked to Horta, who settled quickly with his right foot before unleashing a golazo from 30-plus yards inside the far post.
The 21-year-old has two goals in two the group stage, also scoring in a 4-2 win over Switzerland in March.
Portugal is third in Group H with a 5-2-1 record, two points behind Romania and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
