Vote for Save of the Week: Week 8
Kick saves, leaping parries, reaction saves, penalty-kick stops – whatever your favorite flavor of goalkeeping heroics, odds are it's represented among the latest batch of Save of the Week nominees.
D.C. United's Bill Hamid made the cut for his sterling work in denying Philadelphia's Keon Daniel in a one-on-one situation at RFK Stadium on Sunday, while Real Salt Lake veteran Nick Rimando earned a well-deserved nod for his clutch PK block against Chivas USA.
Elsewhere, Colorado shotstopper Clint Irwin continued his excellent run of form with an athletic save on Lamar Neagle to keep the Rapids in contention against Seattle.
The Crew very nearly stole a point in Chicago thanks to an excellent night from Andy Gruenebaum, highlighted by an amazing one-handed reflex save on Austin Berry, and Donovan Ricketts is in contention for this week's prize thanks to an instinctive play on Chris Wondolowski's shot.
Which one will you pick? Voting runs from until 11:59 pm PT on Thursday.
