Plenty of goals were scored across MLS during Week 31, and more than a few stellar saves were made, too. Here are the nominees for Save of the Week.
Dan Kennedy has earned a second straight nod for his excellent work in Chivas USA's close-run loss to San Jose, while Zac MacMath is also in the running after a fine performance in the Philadelphia Union's upset win over Sporting Kansas City. Sporting goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen also made the short list with a sterling stop in the same match.
The LA Galaxy's Panamanian shot-stopper Jaime Penedo has been recognized for an exemplary block against the Portland Timbers on Sunday, and D.C. United apprentice Joe Willis rounds out the top five after his fine work against Toronto FC despite the 4-1 final score at BMO Field.
