MLS Save of the Week: Week 24

It's Tuesday again, and that means it's time for you to begin voting for the best save of the last round of league play.

Houston Dynamo goalkeeper Tyler Deric is up for what would be a league-leading fifth Save of the Week award in 2015, this time for his leaping stop on a long-distance blast from New England's Kelyn Rowe. He'll face some stiff competition from Bill Hamid, however, after the D.C. United netminder somehow got down to deny David Villa from close range in a Thursday clash against New York City FC.

And we'd be remiss not to include Chicago Fire shot-stopper Sean Johnson somewhere on this ballot. He could've made up this list on his own considering his eight-save effort in a wild game against the Philadelphia Union, but his spectacular late double save on Brian Carroll and Sebastien Le Toux will have to do.

The last two nominees come from the dramatic Real Salt Lake-Portland Timbers encounter on Saturday night. The Timbers' Adam Kwarasey laid down the gauntlet with a leaping save to deny Luke Mulholland a spectacular goal and RSL's Nick Rimando responded in kind, showing off his excellent reflexes with a point-blank stop on Diego Valeri in the second half.

Vote now for who you think had the best save in Week 24! The winner will be announced on Friday.

Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays. For complete coverage of the MLS Save of the Week award – including an archive of all of this season’s nominees and winners – click here
