Only five games took place across MLS in Week 15, but there was ample material for MLS Save of the Week just the same.
The Chicago Fire fell 2-0 in their visit to the New England Revolution on Saturday, a match that featured two of this week's nominations, starting with a denial of Chris Tierney by goalkeeper Jon Busch. In the opposite penalty box, Revs 'keeper Bobby Shuttleworth was busier than the score suggested and he, too, is in the SOTW running.
Seattle Sounders shot-stopper Stefan Frei has been a regular candidate in SOTW polls this season, and he returns via a sensational reaction save on Kyle Bekker in the Rave Green's 3-0 dispatching of FC Dallas.
Bill Hamid worked mightily to earn D.C. United a point from their trip to muggy Orlando on Sunday, even saving a penalty kick – though it was subsequently finished off on the rebound by Kaká – and one of his best moments is up for your vote.
Meanwhile Jaime Penedo did in fact help the LA Galaxy secure a road draw, making a top-notch stop in their storm-delayed 1-1 draw with Columbus Crew SC.
