Jordan Morris and Matt Besler are on very different paths as an important 2016 gets rolling, and US Soccer took a peak at the different stakes for the rookie and veteran player.
With World Cup qualifiers and a playoff for berth to the Olympics ahead tonight, US Soccer caught up with Morris and Besler when Sporting Kansas City visited the Seattle Sounders two weeks ago to hear from the players about what’s on the line.
While Besler discussed his disappointment of being left off the roster for last summer’s Gold Cup, Morris discussed his decision to finally go pro.
“It had been a weight on my shoulder for two years – since the Sounders started wanting me to join their team," Morris said. "It was something that was always on my mind, whether I should go pro or stay in college. So, to finally finish that process, it was good and gave me some peace of mind."
