Footwork came to the rescue of Vancouver Whitecaps goalkeeper David Ousted in Week 16 against Montreal. When an outside shot from Maxim Tissot started to Ousted's left and then deflected back to his right, the Dane had to stop on a dime and reach back to keep the Impact off the scoreboard.
In addition to his primary reward, a third shutout of the season, the stop also gave Ousted Save of the Week honors for the second time this season.
Ousted's stop, with more than 35 percent of the vote, finished ahead of Portland's Donovan Ricketts, who earned more than 28 percent when he came charging out to make a close-range stop on Soony Saad, for the award. Troy Perkins topped the 17-percent mark in the voting, while Jaime Penedo and Joe Bendik both finished just shy of 10 percent.
