Make it three out of three for the US U-17s.
After a 3-0 win over Guatemala, the US Under-17 national team finished tops in Group F of the Concacaf Under-17 Championship after mowing down all three group opponents with three straight wins to open the competition.
As they head to the knockout rounds and a Round of 16 match against Guadeloupe on Thursday (6 pm ET), the USA U-17s are now just two wins away from qualifying for the FIFA Under-17 World Cup which will be played in Brazil later this year. All four Concacaf semifinalists will advance to the FIFA tournament.
MLS Homegrown players scored all three goals against Guatemala with D.C. United's Griffin Yow netting a brace and Seattle Sounders GA Cup star Alfonso Ocampo-Chavez connecting with fellow Sounder Danny Leyva for his goal which rounded out the scoring four minutes from time.
