US Under-23 international Jerome Kiesewetter signed a two-year contract with 2. Bundesliga side Fortuna Dusseldorf on Friday, the club announced.
Kiesewetter, 23, spent the last four years in the VfB Stuttgart system. The German-born winger never saw much time with the Stuttgart first-team, only making two appearances with the senior side and primarily playing with the Bundesliga club’s reserve team.
A part of the US U-23 team that failed to qualify for the upcoming Rio Olympics, Kiesewetter has one cap with the USMNT, coming off the bench and helping the Americans to a 3-2 win against Iceland in January.
