Tyler Adams becomes second US player to feature in UEFA Champions League semifinals

Tyler Adams - wins duel - RB Leipzig

Former New York Red Bulls star Tyler Adams made a bit of history on Tuesday evening, although probably not in the way he would have liked.

Adams became the second US player after DaMarcus Beasley to appear in the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League, when he came on for RB Leipzig as a substitute in the 64th minute of their game against Paris Saint-Germain.

By the time Adams, the hero of Leipzig's quarterfinal win over Atletico Madrid, came on however, his team was already 3-0 down to the big-spending Ligue 1 side, whose world-class attack took advantage of multiple defensive errors from Die Roten Bullen. The 21-year-old US international featured in the center of the park for Leipzig, though was unable to spark a comeback as PSG hold on to the 3-0 lead and clinched their berth in Sunday's final against either Alphonso Davies & Bayern Munich or Lyon.
