Toronto FC announced on Monday they have agreed to mutually part ways with forward Terrence Boyd.
The 28-year-old made 13 appearances across all competitions this year for TFC, scoring no goals. The former US international had played only nine minutes in Toronto's last seven games.
“We thank Terrence for his service. He had an incredible presence in the locker room and at the training ground. We fully support Terrence going to Germany to be with his wife and young family.” said Toronto FC General Manager Ali Curtis.
Reports last week indicated that Boyd could be headed to a third-division club in Germany, where he played most of his professional career.
