10 years is a long time to be with one club. Tim Howard is one of the few players who has been able to stay with one club over 10 years but on Sunday he played his final game with that club, Everton FC.
Prior to taking the field at Goodison Park for the final time, the impending Colorado Rapids goalkeeper penned a letter to the club that has won over his heart over the last 10 years.
Howard made 414 appearances with Everton across all competitions, the 13th most in club history. He helped the Toffees secure a win in his final game, as they defeated Norwich City 3-0 on Sunday.
The US international is set to join the Rapids when the summer transfer window opens on July 4. The Rapids have been the surprise team in the league so far this season, as they currently lead the Supporters' Shield race after securing 24 points in their first 12 games.
Howard is expected to participate in this summer's Copa America Centenario with the US national team. He has registered 107 caps with the US and has been named US Soccer Athlete of the Year twice (2008, 2014).
