Theo Bair's first MLS goal on a sensational volley was the kind of strike that gets remembered even in defeat. And now it's also AT&T Goal of the Week for Week 23 by a substantial margin.
The 19-year-old Vancouver Whitecaps' forwards twisting, knuckling bomb of a goal against the Portland Timbers took 44 percent of the weekly voting, more than double that of the next closest vote-getter.
Hassani Dotson's impressive solo strike for Minnesota United, in which he sliced between two defenders before ripping a shot past Jesse Gonzalez, was second with 20 percent of the vote. Pedro Santos' long-distance equalizer for Columbus Crew SC against Hell is Real rivals FC Cincinnati took 18 percent, and Santiago Mosquera's lob off the back post in the same Minnesota-Dallas clash took 14 percent.
Mauro Manotas' late go-ahead strike for the Houston Dynamo at New York City FC rounded out the voting with a shade under 3 percent of the vote.
