It's not very often a goalkeeper concedes three times and still earns a place on the Team of the Week presented by Audi. Then again, it's not that often a goalkeeper lets in three and plays as well as Andre Blake's performance on Sunday night in Los Angeles.
The Jamaican international made 11 stops to help the Philadelphia Union earn a point in a wild 3-3 draw at LAFC on Sunday night and in the process earn his first Team of the Week honors of the season in Week 2. He's joined by a couple of new faces in MLS up front: 2020 SuperDraft selection Achara made the team for Toronto FC after scoring his first professional goal (we took a bit of liberty moving him up to forward). And Sporting Kansas City striker Alan Pulido also got the nod up front after the Mexican star hit the net for the second time in as many games.
Pulido's coach Peter Vermes made the cut for his tactical plan against the Houston Dynamo, making it three nods for SKC this week. With Brenden Aaronson and Jakob Glesnes on the bench, the Union were also well represented for their well-earned away point.
