It was a week of goals in Week 2 of the 2018 MLS regular season, and that's reflected in the Team of the Week presented by Audi.
Seven of the 11 players to make the Team of the Week scored, as there were 38 goals across nine games. Among the highlights this week, LAFC have two players and head coach Bob Bradley in the XI, to go with a player on the bench following a 5-1 road win over Real Salt Lake, while the New England Revolution and New York City FC each have two players in the XI this week following home wins.
Audi Player Index Spotlight
The spotlight player this week is LAFC forward Carlos Vela, who scored a goal and assist in the 5-1 victory over RSL. Vela earned the Audi Player Index Performance of the Week, earning 1485 points, best in the league. Vela's haul included a goal outside the box (312 points), the assist (238 points), four key passes in total, and two interceptions (60 points).
