He's been instrumental to the Seattle Sounders' ongoing nine-game winning streak. Raul Ruidiaz's status is in doubt, however, after the striker sustained a sprained ankle in the first half of the Rave Green's home match vs. the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday night.
Apparently suffered on an innocuous-looking play with Philly's CJ Sapong in the vicinity, the knock forced Ruidiaz to come off the CenturyLink Field pitch in the 34th minute, replaced by Will Bruin.
Arriving in Seattle via a transfer from Mexican side Morelia in June, the Peruvian international has been a revelation in the opening stages of his MLS career, scoring five goals and an assist in his first eight games for the Sounders, all victories.
