The Seattle Sounders have done the double again. (Sort of.)
No, it's too soon to say whether the Rave Green will win the Supporters' Shield and US Open Cup trophies again this year. But we can confirm that they have locked up both the Save of the Week and AT&T Goal of the Week awards for Week 9 of Major League Soccer's 2015 season, as Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei has won SOTW honors for the first time this campaign to match Obafemi Martins' capture of GOTW.
Frei snared 43.49 percent of the final vote tally for his diving stop on NYCFC's Kwadwo Poku, followed by Sporting KC netminder Tim Melia at 21.59 percent. Steve Clark of Columbus Crew SC took third place, with Luis Robles and Josh Saunders rounding out the field.
