Luis Robles went full extension to keep the New York Red Bulls' lead intact last weekend, and he may be reaching (figuratively speaking, of course) for a third honor in four weeks and his fourth of the season when voting concludes in this week's MLS Save of the Week contest.
Robles currently leads voting with more than 36 percent of the vote for his one-handed, fingertip save. But he has competition this week, mostly in the Montreal Impact's Evan Bush, whose save of a skipping shot on wet artificial turf is in second place with 31 percent of votes cast through Wednesday.
Real Salt Lake's Nick Rimando (almost 16 percent) and the Columbus Crew SC's Steve Clark (almost 12 percent) are splitting most of the remaining votes, leaving the San Jose Earthquakes' David Bingham (almost 5 percent) trailing the field.
