When Liam Ridgewell headed a ball from close range on frame against the San Jose Earthquakes last weekend, the Portland Timbers thought they were off to a dream start.
Jon Busch had other ideas.
Busch made a superb reflex stop to deny Ridgewell's ninth-minute header from six yards out, incredibly tipping the ball over the crossbar to keep the match scoreless. The impressive, point-blank block may not have set the tone for an Earthquakes victory, but it did win Week 26's Save of the Week honors.
Busch collected the award with almost 34 percent of the vote, giving the veteran goalkeeper his first accolade of the 2014 season. The Quakes and Timbers tied the match, 3-3.
