The MLS Disciplinary Committee on Thursday issued one suspension and two fines ahead of Week 8 of the 2018 MLS regular season.
Cummings violent conduct
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended San Jose Earthquakes defender Harold Cummings one additional game (two games total) and issued an undisclosed fine for violent conduct in second-half stoppage time of San Jose’s match against the Philadelphia Union on April 7.
Cummings, who originally received a red card on the play, served the first game of his suspension on April 14 vs. Houston Dynamo. He will serve the additional game on April 21 against Orlando City SC.
Felipe simulation/embellishment
The Disciplinary Committee has found Vancouver Whitecaps FC midfielder Felipe guilty of simulation/embellishment in second-half stoppage time of Vancouver’s match against LAFC on April 13. As a result, Felipe has been fined an undisclosed amount.
Elis simulation/embellishment
The Disciplinary Committee has found Houston Dynamo forward Alberth Elis guilty of simulation/embellishment in the 71st minute of Houston’s match against the San Jose Earthquakes on April 14. Elis has been issued an undisclosed fine.
