Real Salt Lake opened up their season in emphatic fashion last Saturday, running the LA Galaxy out of their own building with a 3-1 triumph.
And in between the goals and the celebrations, goalkeeper Nick Rimando also opened the season with a Save of the Week win.
After nearly a minute of sustained pressure by the Galaxy, Rimando had to come up huge to kick away a point-blank attempt by Designated Player Robbie Keane.
Though it was hardly the only acrobatic save of the week, Rimando beat out second-place finisher Bill Hamid by more than 20 percentage points.
