There was an interesting discussion caught on camera in the immediate aftermath of Real Salt Lake's 3-0 loss to the Portland Timbers between RSL captain Kyle Beckerman and Timbers head coach Gio Savarese.
Beckerman was visibly upset, pointing past Savarese while the two talked. He ignored Savarese's outstretched hand for a shake before walking away. Here's the incident below.
After the game, Beckerman discussed what happened.
“It was just something," Beckerman said. "Some of their players didn’t have class, which you’d expect a team coached by him that their whole team would have class, but some of their guys didn’t show it tonight.”
The result puts RSL's playoff hopes in serious doubt, with the LA Galaxy just needing a win over the Houston Dynamo on Decision Day presented by AT&T to replace Salt Lake for the sixth seed in the Western Conference.
“We’re going to be the biggest Houston Dynamo fans there’s ever been," Beckerman added.
