The transfer rumors around FC Dallas forward Maxi Urruti are heating back up.
Urruti, who was denied a move to Argentine club San Lorenzo this summer, is apparently being targeted by Colombian side America de Cali and Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade. Cali’s interest was first reported on Wednesday, while several Balkan outlets have claimed that Urruti is one of four names on Belgrade’s transfer wish-list for the past several days.
An FC Dallas spokesperson told MLSsoccer.com that they have not been contacted by Red Star.
Urruti, 26, has been with FC Dallas since the start of the 2016 season. The former Toronto FC and Portland Timbers forward has 21 goals and nine assists in 62 regular season games with FCD, including 12 strikes and five assists in 2017. He has 36 goals and 14 assists in 129 career MLS appearances.
