One of MLS's most talented teenage Homegrown Players is in the sights of SC Freiburg, according to media reports on both sides of the Atlantic.
Goal.com's Ives Galarcep is among those reporting that the Bundesliga club have tabled a transfer bid for Colorado Rapids midfielder Cole Bassett, and could complete the deal as soon as the upcoming summer transfer window.
Bassett, 17, has been one of the Rapids' top midfield contributors since signing his Homegrown deal last August, logging two goals and two assists in 985 league minutes (18 appearances, 12 starts) despite his tender age. Freiburg finished 13th in the Bundesliga last season, and hosted Bassett for a training stint in November.
