Forward Terrence Boyd is positioning himself for a loan from one Red Bull side to another, ESPN's Taylor Twellman reported on Monday.
The US National team striker is currently with surprise Bundesliga success story Red Bull Leipzig, where his contract runs through the current season.
The 25-year-old Boyd, who has 14 caps with the US since 2012, has been with Leipzig since 2014 after a move from Austrian side Rapid Vienna, where he scored 28 goals in 59 league matches and 37 goals in 80 matches across all competitions over a three-year span.
Following Twellman's report, Julie Stewart-Binks reported on Twitter on Monday that while Boyd heading to New York on a loan deal was possible, it was among several options for the forward.
