The former Manchester United standout is without a club after his stint with Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito.
The 35-year-old right back also competed for Villarreal and Wigan in a nearly 20-year career. He joined LDU Quito from Manchester United last July and made 32 overall appearances with one goal and three assists. Internationally, Valencia has been capped 98 times and scored 11 goals for Ecuador.
