UPDATE: The BBC reported on Tuesday that Bob Bradley met with Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins at Bristol Airport, just across the Welsh border in England, but that no decision has been made yet on Francesco Guidolin's future. Swansea host Liverpool in EPL play on Saturday.
Does new American ownership of Swansea City mean a managerial shot in the English Premier League for former US national team coach Bob Bradley?
British tabloid The Sunreported on Monday that with the Swans mired in 16th place in the Premiership on seven points after six matches, investors Jason Levien -- also the managing general partner of MLS' D.C. United -- and Steve Kaplan want Bradley to be interviewed as a possible replacement for Francesco Guidolin.
Former Wales and Manchester United star Ryan Giggs is reported to be at the top of chairman Huw Jenkins' list (and UK bookies have him as the favorite), but the Sun reported that Levien and Kaplan want someone with greater managerial experience.
The 58-year-old Bradley, currently at French Ligue 2 side Le Havre, has never managed in the Premier League, but took the U.S. to the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup title, the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup final and the 2010 World Cup knockout round during his six years with the Nats.
He also managed the Egyptian national team from 2011-2013 and has managed clubs in MLS, Norway and France, winning one MLS Cup and two Lamar Hunt US Open Cup titles with the Chicago Fire.
The LA Galaxy's Landon Donovan, who played extensively for Bradley at the international level, also joined Swansea as an adviser during his recently-ended retirement.
