Ezequiel Barco has some European admirers.
According to Portuguese outlet Record, Liga NOS giants Sporting CP are eyeing a move for the Atlanta United and Argentina U-20 star should they lose one of their top midfielders, Bruno Fernandes, this January.
Barco, 20, enjoyed an impressive season with both Atlanta in MLS and Argentina in the U-20 World Cup. Though limited by international duty and injuries, Barco had four goals and three assists in 15 MLS appearances. It was his second season with the club.
He led Argentina to the quarterfinals of the U-20 World Cup and has since graduated to the U-23 side. He was linked with Napoli earlier this season.
