TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report
The
San Jose Earthquakes
are reportedly interested in the services of 21-year-old striker Matias Succar, according to a report from Peruvian outlet Libero Peru.
Succar has been a standout performer for his current club, Peruvian outfit Deportivo Municipal, where he's put up 11 goals this season in nearly 1,300 minutes, establishing himself as one of the brightest young talents in Peru's Liga 1. He's been with the club since 2017, also doing a stint on loan with another Peruvian club in Trade Union where he netted five times in 25 appearances.
Succar was born in Lima, Peru and is eligible to represent their national team due to his citizenship, but is also eligible to represent the United States through his father's nationality.
A move to the Quakes would put Succar on the same team as a fellow Peruvian in San Jose defender Marcos Lopez, who joined head coach Matias Almyeda's group ahead of the 2019 season and has made 31 career first-team appearances.
