TRANSFER TRACKER: Report
Three days after announcing several roster moves ahead of the 2019 season, the Montreal impact appear to be on the verge of another important decision in what is likely a busy offseason.
According to Doug McIntyre from Yahoo Sports, the club is finalizing a three-year extension for goalkeeper Evan Bush. The 32-year-old, who led MLS with 132 saves this season, would be in line for a hefty raise, which McIntyre reports, would earn him more than $1 million a year.
Bush, who has been the Impact’s starter for the last four years, had a career-high 10 clean sheets, tied for third best in MLS in 2018. Bush earned the top spot this year among goalkeepers in the Audi Player Index, making 3.8 saves per 90 minutes, conceding 1.6 goals per 90 minutes and making 89 saves from inside the box.
