The saga that is Mesut Ozil's impending exit from Arsenal continues, with a report out of England suggesting the player has received an attractive offer from D.C. United.
The report from Football.London's Chris Wheatley suggests that in addition to offering Ozil playing time after months without a competitive game, D.C.'s offer will help expand his M10 brand in the United States. That includes his coffee company, 39 Steps, which has long been expected to join the list of Audi Field concessions. The deal also reportedly includes a merchandise line.
With Ozil's Arsenal contract expiring this summer, he has long been linked with a move away, especially as his playing time has decreased. Ozil has been linked frequently with a move to MLS in that time, especially to D.C. United.
Ozil is one of the greatest assist-providers in Premier League history but has not featured for Arsenal since March and was left off the club's squads for both the Premier League and Europa League.
